Quick Start Guide
Typical Use Case
- Power on the thin client.
- A login dialog appears.
- Enter domain credentials.
- Launch the XenApp application assigned to the user.
- Work in the familiar Windows session.
- After logging out of the Windows session, the login dialog reappears for the next user.
Settings in the openthinclient Manager
Leave all settings not mentioned in this section at their default values. A detailed description of the settings is in the Citrix Client article.

Settings in Citrix Studio — Enable HTTP Basic auth
Enable HTTP Basic auth in Citrix Studio under the store’s settings.
Upload the Citrix certificate.
The openthinclient OS already includes several certificates from well-known certification authorities. However, if a certificate error still occurs AM_ERROR_HTTP_SERVER_CERTIFICATE_NOT_TRUSTED or if you operate your own CA, upload the corresponding CA certificate to the directory. <openthinclient-home>/nfs/root/custom/ica-ssl-certs .
Select the Custom Folder menu item. Open the SSL Certificates for Citrix bookmark at the top and use the Upload button ![]()
