Update to 2020.X

localboot

⚠️ Note the following prerequisite when updating the base package with localboot thin clients:

Before updating to version 2020.x, ensure the localboot 2019.1.5 package (or newer) is installed and synchronized on all localboot thin clients.

  1. Open the client package manager (refresh the package list if necessary).
  2. Select the latest localboot package and install it.
  3. Wait until the affected thin clients finish the update, then restart the devices.
  4. Then, perform the update to version 2020.x.x.

If the localboot package update on a thin client encounters an error, reinstall localboot on that device to enable future updates.

Active Directory Connection

Pass the user ID (read-only principal) as the user login name (e.g., ldapquery@openthinclient.local) must be provided. Specifying an LDAP path (e.g. CN=LDAPUser,OU=Users,DN=openthinclient,DN=local ) is now deprecated.
