Evidian Authentication Manager
TranslationEvidian pending.is an RFID smart card-based authentication system. Instead of entering a username and password, place the card on a corresponding reader — this then triggers, for example, an automatic Windows/AD login. This approach enhances security and convenience.
With Evidian Authentication Manager, configure the system to launch a preset application automatically; supported applications include:
Configuration
Application settings
Value
Description
Text
Specify the name of the application to launch after successful login.
It's the name assigned in the openthinclient Manager.
Configure Autostart to be disabled for the application launched via Evidian.
Any preset usernames and passwords are replaced by the Evidian login credentials.
User Access Web Service URLs TextThe URL of the Evidian SSO Controller’s SOAP service. Roaming Session Secret Text
The roaming session secret of the Evidian SSO Controller.
Domain for new RFID cards. Explicitly change it during card registration.
Server timeoutNumeric
Set timeout in s for the web server connection. Tapping mode
On
Off
Enable tapping mode.
To log in, place the RFID card briefly on the reader. To log out, place the card briefly on the reader again.
Tapping DelayNumeric
As an alternative to the previous option, activate Tapping Mode for only a short time. If the RFID card's removed from the card reader within the set delay, Tapping Mode stays active for the session. If the card stays in place longer, the system behaves as if Tapping Mode isn't activated, and removing the card terminates the session.
To use the tapping delay, turn off tapping mode.
