LDIF Import
Re-import previously exported LDIF files. Perform the operation within the same openthinclient environment or — subject to the applicable conditions — on a different openthinclient server.
Import
To import an LDIF file, proceed as follows:
- Open the Basic Settings in the openthinclient Management Server (bottom left)
- Select the LDIF Import/Export option
- Import the LDIF data.

- A dialog box will open where the directory and file name can be selected.
- The LDAP data's added to existing entries.
-
The LDIF file can contain either the entire tree or a single branch.
-
Existing data's overwritten.
Example:
For example, create five clients, export the ThinClients branch to LDIF, remove one client, and import the previously saved LDIF file; the environment will again contain five clients.
When importing entire LDIF files, or importing devices or applications, ensure the same version of installed packages is present.
That is, suppose an LDIF export of applications includes a configuration for the FreeRDP client. Before importing, verify that the installed package version matches the exported configuration.
If the FreeRDP package has been updated, new or renamed options may require manual adjustment after import.
