Mouse Pointer — Jumping Artifacts
Due to an issue with certain graphics cards, jumping mouse pointer artifacts may occur on a thin client. To resolve this issue, disable the thin client’s compositor.
To do this, first, create a command-line application
- Open the openthinclient Manager
- Navigate to Applications on the left
- Create a Command Line application
After creating the application, the system opens its settings. Alternatively, click the application’s name on the left to open settings. In the application’s settings, configure it to disable the compositor.
To do this, enter the following command in the Command Line field:
-
gsettings set org.mate.Marco.general compositing-manager false
Enable Autostart and Hide Icon so the application launches automatically at thin-client startup and remains hidden on the desktop. Add the application to all affected thin clients.
