Printing within the Windows session
Generally, thin clients require no special settings to print from Windows. Set up the printers directly in the Windows environment as usual.
With the package printserver , even older, non-network-compatible printers can be used from within the Windows session via JetDirect emulation.
Printing outside the Windows session
Printing from the thin clients outside of a Windows session is supported by the cups-client To do this, run a CUPS server through which the thin clients can print.
The Virtual Appliance already includes a preinstalled CUPS server. Configure it through the web interface at http://SERVER:631 Use the same login credentials as in the Virtual Appliance itself.
