Components Requiring Additional Configuration

This section lists software solutions and hardware architectures that currently require additional configuration before they're compatible with openthinclient.

Using these components may result in malfunctions, lack of compatibility, or unsupported functionality.

Unsupported software

The following applications require additional configuration before they're compatible with the openthinclient environment:

  • DATEV SmartCard → Ensure specific drivers and security mechanisms are available in thin client environments.
  • SFirm → Requires local system components and banking interfaces that are best installed separately.
Supported CPU architectures

openthinclient supports only x86_64 (64-bit) architectures.
The following architectures are unsupported:

  • ARM (Advanced RISC Machine)
  • SPARC
  • RISC-V
  • Itanium (IA-64)
  • x86 (32-bit)
