Smart Card, RFID, and Health Insurance Card Readers (EGK)

A common use case for openthinclient is using RDP or Citrix to connect to a Windows Server. If a device connected to the thin client is also to be accessible within the Windows session, there are various technical options for implementing this.

The following table lists devices for which drivers have already been implemented and tested for customers.

Device Citrix FreeRDP
Cherry eHealth-BCS Terminal ST-1503
Cherry MKT+ Terminal ST-2052
Cherry SmartTerminal ST-2000U
Identiv uTrust 2 700 F
OMNIKEY 1021, 3x21, 6121, 512x, 532x1
REINER SCT cyberJack e-com
REINER SCT cyberJack RFID standard
REINER SCT cyberJack RFID Comfort
REINER SCT cyberJack RFID Basic
REINER SCT cyberJack one
Onespan Digipass 905

1Tested with OMNIKEY Cardman 5321

A question mark in the table indicates that the corresponding driver's implementation is in progress.

The table's incomplete; for example, FreeRDP and Citrix generally support redirection of smart card readers that have a PC/SC driver.
However, this redirection depends on the version and device.
