Headsets and Webcams

Headsets

The openthinclient OS supports all headsets with a 3.5 mm jack. Use a wired headset for optimal performance.

ℹ️ Headset models tested by customers:

  • Plantronics Blackwire 3315

  • Plantronics C3220
  • Plantronics Savi 8210 UC DECT Headset
  • EPOS | Sennheiser Impact SDW 5011

⚠️ Note that headsets with jack plugs come in different designs:

  • 3.5 mm 3-pin, stereo audio and mono microphone
  • 3.5 mm 4-pin, stereo audio and mono microphone
  • 3.5 mm 5-pin, stereo audio and stereo microphone (primarily used for headphones with integrated digital noise cancellation)

Depending on the ThinClient model in use, obtain a suitable 3-to-4-pin or 4-to-3-pin adapter.

The inputs and outputs are labeled according to the PC99 specification, although the colors may vary in tone and saturation.

Webcams

The openthinclient OS supports all Linux-compatible webcams.
