Server ID

Where?

To use more than 24 ThinClients, activate a license. To order a license, provide the Server ID when creating the shipping address. Locate it in the openthinclient Manager under Basic Settings > License > Server ID.

    Create New

    To obtain a new Server ID, proceed as follows:

    1. Open a terminal on the server

    2. Enter this command to delete the server ID:
      linux-svgrepo-com.png

      sudo /opt/openthinclient/bin/managerctl rm-server-id --home ~/otc-manager-home

      windows-windows-svgrepo-com.png PowerShell

      & 'C:\Program Files\openthinclient\bin\managerctl.exe' rm-server-id --home 'C:\User\ihrUser\AppData\Local\openthinclient\'

      Note, adjust paths to match the installation if required.

    3. Restart the openthinclient Management Server.
    4. A new ID will be assigned upon startup.

    If a license is already stored in the openthinclient Management Server, an error message will appear after the server ID is changed. To resolve or prevent this error, delete the license key in the Management Server under Basic Settings > License.
